We are pleased to announce C-DAC Indian Student Scholarships for e-Science 2007 to promote research in e-Science and Grid areas in India. We would like to encourage the best students studying at engineering colleges in India to attend the conference through C-DAC Indian Student Scholarship provided on a merit basis. The conference will expose students to current worldwide research and enable them to meet leading researchers in the computing area. Please note that the number of scholarships is limited and the award of the scholarship is subject to compliance of the policies as described below.

Who May Apply
Students studying at engineering colleges and other educational institutions of repute in India are encouraged to attend the conference through C-DAC Indian Student scholarships provided on a merit basis. Scholarship is meant for full time students.

Scholarship Details
Scholarship will be offered to a limited number of participants.
In particular, the scholarship will include:

1. Complimentary Registration
2. Accomodation for 3 nights
3. Reimbursement of to and fro travel by train (Second/Sleeper class on production of tickets)

Disbursements of the funds are subject to the policies as described below.

Participants Details
An application (Click here to get Word/PDF file of the application) duly filled with details need to be furnished to Scholarship Chairs (Dr. Sathish Vadhiyar vss@serc.iisc.ernet.in & Dr. KG Srinivas kgsrinivas@msrit.edu) in a doc/pdf file as an application for consideration of C-DAC e-Science Indian Scholarship.

Registration and What It Provides
The student registration at the conference includes:
· Participation in workshops on December 10
· Participation in tutorial on December 10
· Participation in Conference 11-13 December
· Conference meals
· Conference banquet

Selection Criteria
The following shall be considered (in no specific order) for the award of the scholarship:

. Area of Research.
. No. of Publications.
. Academic Record.

Conditions for Disbursement of Scholarship

1. Students availing the scholarship should sign the attendance sheet of all the sessions attended
2. Students should carry the letter of deputation from the Institution
3. Students should carry the Photo ID issued by the Institution
4. The Travel will be reimbursed on the last day of the conference after the submission of the report on the conference.

Due Date
We accept applications till November 30th. The first batch will be announced on November 9th, more scholarship may be awarded until Nov 20th, 2007. The selected students should register for the Conference which is complimentary and mention the scholarship ID in the registration remarks column.
